Just a few favorites...

It's that time again, y'all.
The end of yet another month.
Yet, I'm happy about this end because that means CHRISTMAS is near!!
But isn't it funny how our feelings on months ending change throughout the year? Think about it -- we're (mostly) all glad to see the first couple months fly by because they're basically all like a big 'ole Monday. Takes a while to get in the swing of things in a new year. BUT then comes summer (if you're a teacher, student, etc) and you hate to see the end of a month. And then school and the holidays roll around and once again, you're excited to see the end of a month because that the means the next holiday is right around the corner.
Ya feel me? Or was that mindless rambling?
Regardless - November has ended and therefore, it's time for...
with this lovely lady!

First up...
Birthdays.
Two of the most important people in my life have birthdays in November -- my daddy and Jordan.
Jordan's is at the very beginning (2nd) and daddy's is at the very end (26th), which makes for a very well-balanced month, don't ya think?
With her favorite --- cookie cake! (Excuse my washed out face..)
Later that night, following a wardrobe change
With two more of our good friends, Audrey and McAuley -- McAuley would be the one acting cray-cray ;)
Didn't get a picture with daddy this year because it was on a Monday and I was back in Chapel Hill for school...but here's one from Thanksgiving..
The sun was NOT our friend, that day..
Next...
The return of college basketball.
I'm a student at UNC -- I think that speaks for itself on this one.
My friend Caroline and I at a home game a couple weeks ago.
Moving on..
Twilight: Breaking Dawn Pt. 2
Yep, I'm one of those people.
Team Edward, baby. All the way.
 Can't forget..
Meeting baby Jayden.
My sweet high school friend Shannon gave birth to this beautiful baby boy on Halloween and I finally got to meet and hold his precious self over Thanksgiving break. Such a blessing! Love those two, so much.

 Lastly...
Voting for the first time.
No, the election did not turn out the way I had hoped -- but nonetheless, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to even have a small say in the results. Blessed to live in a country that allows me to do that.

Heyyyy, it's the freak-ing weekend

So, Friday...have I told you how absolutely wonderful you are?
No?
Well, you are.
Let's get together more often, yes?
Don't have to ask me twice.

I'm home for the weekend (holla, holla) and I couldn't be more excited.

I also couldn't be more excited about the fact that it's finally October!
October is by far my favorite month. No, it's not my birthday month. And no, I don't particularly like Halloween (but I do like curling up on the couch with a bag of candy and a scary movie, just sayin').
BUT, I do love the leaves changing colors.
I love the smell in the air.
I love all of the festivals and fairs that come with it.
I love the cooler weather.
I love Sunday football.
And I love that it's the beginning of the holiday season.

Ohhhh, October...how I've missed you!

I've got a fun, but busy weekend planned so I'm gonna do a quick link-up with Ashley over at Adventures of Newlyweds for...

Dear my followers, I am so super pumped that I now have over 50 of you! I know I lag behind in the actual writing blog posts every now and then, but I'm a college student and that's what happens. BUT, I am so thankful for each of you! Dear NC Seafood Festival, I cannot wait to see you and smell you tomorrow afternoon. I know that may sound weird to some of you, but if you'd ever been then you wouldn't think so. Promise. ;) Dear tomato soup, you have been my go-to meal the past few weeks. You are just so faithfully delicious, especially with a piece of whole wheat oatnut bread toasted, cut up, and tossed into you to sop up the goodness. Nom. Dear roasted red pepper hummus, you are the light of my life. I love you. Don't ever leave me. Dear scarves, I'm so happy to be able to sport y'all again. I have so many of you and in order to give you all equal lovin', I have to start wearing you early. Even when the thermometer is still topping out at 80 degrees. Hot stuff, I tell ya. Dear Jordan, McAuley, and Daddy, this weekend is going to be amazing and a boatload of fun. I'm especially looking forward to the drive down cause I know Daddy is going to dance while driving and that's always a good time. Dear weather, even though you're still a little warm on occasion, you have overall cooled off tremendously and I'm so grateful. Stay awhile, why don't ya? Dear NYC,  I will be on my way to you in exactly a week and even though I won't be there for long, I am going to strip you clean of every pashmina scarf and knockoff Tory Burch handbag I can find. Watch out.
