two years ago today...

...I graduated from high school.
Now I realize that for the most part, I'm considered a baby here in blog land, but to me..two years seems like a long time ago! I can't believe it has already been that long, and now I'm halfway done with college! Crazy how time flies the older you get. Really crazy. Anyway, my high school's Class of 2012 graduated over the weekend, on Saturday morning, and I went (and sat in the blazing heat at 10am) to watch some of my favorite girls graduate. I played softball with three very special ladies, two of which were valedictorian and salutatorian and the other was senior class president (smart girls, I know), and love them all dearly! I remember when they freshman like it was yesterday and I cannot believe they just graduated. Taylor, the valedictorian and Jordan's first cousin, will actually be joining me at Carolina in the fall and I am so pumped to get to show her around!
I didn't get to take any pictures with the girls after the ceremony because I had to rush off and be at work at 12:00, but here are some pictures that I grabbed from Facebook..

Now, I thought I would share with y'all some pictures from when I graduated...

A little blurry, but right before graduation w/ my favorite teacher in high school, Ms. Darden, and her sweet boy, Ty

I graduated!

And as much as I hate to admit it, everyone who tells you that you're going to miss high school...is actually right. I miss the simplicity of it, I miss playing sports, and I miss being that skinny. Haha, but really..I do miss it all! But I love college, too. Just not all the paper writing and exam taking. Blech.

Well, that's all I really have for today. I just finished an early morning run and now I get to go sit on the phone, probably for hours, with the people who can hopefully fix my computer. Ugh. Pray for me, please -- I don't exactly have the most patience for these types of phone calls or the people that usually handle them..

Come back tomorrow for my Bachelorette Recap!! xo

Have a fab start to your week, y'all!!

bragging rights

Happy Wednesday, lovelies!
Before I continue with the brag-fest that will be today's post..I just wanna take a quick moment and excite in the fact that my 20th birthday is in just three days!! Whooo!
The trip I had originally planned for Charleston, Savannah, and Hilton Head has been postponed until the end of the summer, but the plan right now is to take a day trip to New Bern, NC!

I'm pretty excited!! :)

Now moving on to real topic of today's post...my big brother's college graduation.
Seriously, y'all..words can't explain how proud I am of him! Not that I ever thought this day wouldn't come, because I always knew he would graduate, but I just didn't expect it to make me so emotional!
Now I may be a little biased myself, but I think he is the most handsome, smartest, most caring, most awesome person/brother ever. Like I said, I may be biased..but I have lots of reassurance that came from my middle school friends (one being Jordan) in the form of "OMG Haley, your brother is so HOT" -- "Where did he go? Is he gonna come back?" -- "Did I look okay?" -- "Does he have a girlfriend? Gosh, she's so lucky."
Yeah, pretty annoying hilarious ;)

Anyways, Hunter graduated with a major in health services management and a minor in business from East Carolina University on May 5th, 2012 at 12:00pm.
I am so beyond proud of him and all of his many, many accomplishments.
I love you more than words, Hunt Hunt!

Enjoy these pictures from his big day!
(excuse the quality of some of the shots..had to zoom in a LOT)

Now I'm also gonna take a moment to brag on Kait. Not only did she have the idea for his awesome cake above, but she's an interior designer and designed this beautiful piece of artwork for the new Mellow Mushroom restaurant in Greenville where we had Hunt's celebratory graduation lunch!

is this not the most amazing thing ever?! we're super proud of her!

Long story short, I love my big brother and am lucky to call him mine!!

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday! xo
