Two posts back-to-back?
Must be y'alls lucky week.
;)
Totally kidding. Kinda.
Anyway, not gonna be a long post today..but I just have to tell y'all a couple of the things the little 6 year old boy I nanny for said yesterday.
Let me first just say that this kid makes nannying SO easy. He is the most well-behaved, sweetest, compliant kid I've ever known. An angel, if you will. Seriously. He's great.
And did I mention downright hilarious??
Read on and try not to spill your coffee from laughing so hard. And if y'all don't laugh, then either I'm crazy or it's too early and y'all haven't found your sense of humor yet today..
The scene: yesterday, playing the board game "Sorry"
D: "Ms. Haley, how do you sing the National Anthem?"
Me: "What do you mean? You want to know the words to the National Anthem?"
D: "No. I mean, how do you sing it? Like, the style. 'Cause I like to mix it up a little.."
**cue laughter**
The scene: also yesterday, while playing the game "Hedbanz" (basically, you stick a card to your head (animal, food, tool, etc.) and you have to ask your partner questions to figure out what "you" are) -- it was D's turn and his card was "milk"
D: Am I an animal?
Me: No.
D: Am I food?
Me: Close. You're a drink.
D: Am I wine?!
Me: What? No!!
D: Orange juice?
Me: No, but you're close.
D: Well...am I beer?!?!
Me: *can't answer for laughing so hard*
Kids, I tell ya...they really do say the darndest things.
xo
