Happy Monday, y'all!!
It's the start of another week and normally I would be dreading it, but this is the week that I leave for CA..therefore I'm welcoming it with widely open arms! ;)
I am currently very extremely overwhelmed at the thought of starting the packing process tonight. I have to fit ELEVEN days worth of outfits, shoes, jewelry, and cosmetics into ONE big suitcase and ONE carry-on. Oh dear baby Jesus, I'm gonna need your help on this one..
Packing tips, ladies...I need packing tips. I know that I'm going to have to mix & match and carry 2 shirts that go with one pair of shorts and all that jazz..but even doing that, it's going to be pushing it to get it all into one suitcase. I mean, 11 days is a long time. So, I'm accepting any and all packing advice that you may have..please share!! :)
And one more side note before I get to today's post....
I got my computer back!!
I had sent it off about 2 weeks ago to get it fixed (something was wrong with the screen) and I got it back last Friday and they gave me a brand spanking new screen...fo' free. I love warranties, I tell ya. And since it was only a screen problem, they didn't have to wipe my hard drive like they did last time! I was one happy girl, let me tell you. It's so nice to be able to use my own computer instead of my dad's ancient dinosaur one ;)
Now, I'd like to dedicate today's post to a very special guy in my life and his 23rd birthday (omg!)...
My handsome brother, Hunter.
If I had been given a choice, I would not have been able to handpick a better brother. He may have been too overprotective sometimes and threatened to kill 1 or 2 boyfriends, may have told me I couldn't go to my freshman/his senior prom because it "wouldn't be cool", he may have yelled at me continuously when I couldn't understand how to play football with him, he may have flipped me off the back of a four-wheeler once, and he may have slammed my fingers in the car door more than once...but he also cried when I was 6 years old and choking on a peppermint at our babysitter's house, he picked me up off the cement and took me to our mama when I fell off my scooter and busted my chin open, he tried to keep our mama from cutting my hair because he thought she was "hurting me", he calmed and comforted me at Relay 4 Life when I was 15 and completely fell apart, and he tells me he loves me every time we get off the phone.
He is the most handsome, kindest, sweetest, most grateful, ambitious, compassionate, loving, and overall greatest person that I know. My brother is one of my best friends, always has been and always will be.
Hunter, I hope you have the absolute best birthday yet. I can't believe you're already 23, but then again you probably can't believe I'm 20 ;) I'm so proud and lucky to have you as my brother, and I love you so very much!!
Have a fabulous start to the week, y'all! xo

awww, happy birthday to Hunter!
As far as packing goes, I would definitely invest in the packing bags that you roll and it compresses the air out, I used them for Europe and it was fantastic, I fit SO much more in that suitcase. Found them at Walmart with the luggage, i think they were called "Rolling Compression Packing Bags". Good luck!
Packing advice: you never need as much as you THINK you will. You'll discover this as you get older. I'm there. Ugh. ;) Lol.
You could also put things in big Ziploc bags and squoosh the air out. Cheaper than fancy space bags. ;) If, of course, you decide you cannot part with eleven days of individual outfits. Haha.
You could always buy that Lysol fabric refresher spray. Spray it on your stanky clothes and there's no need to wash. Lol!
So, I'm half serious and half sarcastic...on all of it. Don't stress. Just have fun.
As for your brother who seems very sweet, I hope he has a great birthday AND that my boys grow up to love their sister the way he loves and takes care of you. That is so awesome. :)
I hope hunter has a fabulous birthday and packing tip- roll your clothes in your suitcase it will save room even if it doesn't seem like it will/ it does!

No packing tips from me friend. I'm one of those that take 2 suitcases for a 3 day stay. Sorry I'm no help :(
I do wanna say Happy Birthday to your Brother though! LOVED all the pics!
Hi there! I was nominated with a Liebster award today and thought it would be fun to trace back the connections of people who have gotten it. Sort of like 7 degrees of separation! Turns out that you and I have 5 degrees of separation.
Anyway, I stopped in at your blog and came across this post about your brother. I have a thing for telling people who their celebrity look-alike is and your brother is definitely Phillip Phillips from American Idol.
That's all :)
Have a great day!
